Chef Fermín Nuñez
A native of Torreon, Mexico, Chef Fermin Nunez is influenced by the flavors of his home country and has dedicated himself to finding creative ways of translating these flavors into unique and exciting dishes throughout his career. After moving to Austin in 2009, Chef Fermin spent the last decade in Austin at local favorites such as Launderette, La Condesa, and Uchiko, where he honed his style before opening Suerte with restaurateur Samuel Hellman-Mass.
Chef Fermin has established himself as an industry leader both locally and nationally. Recently named among Food & Wine's Best Chefs, Núñez was also named Eater Austin Chef of the Year in 2018 and has been featured on Food Network, Netflix’s The Taco Chronicles, The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and Texas Monthly.
